Starting today and lasting for the whole Eat Cambridge fortnight is the Cambridge Sustainable Food restaurant showcase.

11 local restaurants and cafés will be serving dishes that exemplify sustainable food. This is part of the Eat Cambridge festival which runs form the 9th to the 23rd of May.

The eateries taking part are Bridges, Curly Kale Cafe, St. Johns Chop House, Cambridge Chop House, The Tickell Arms in Whittlesford, Pint Shop, The Linton Kitchen, Hot Numbers, The Willow Tree in Bourn, The Clarendon Arms and Steak & Honour.

Expect to see locally grown vegetables from the likes of Tyler Cotton, Paul Robinson and Adrian Izzard.

If you are planning a meal out in May please do consider visiting one of these restaurants and supporting the scheme: it could lead to sustainable food becoming available in local restaurants more often.
