LOCALLY REARED MEAT
The Cambridge Organic Food Co. has teamed up with Knibbs the Butchers to offer you the finest quality meat which has been organically reared at Croxton Park Farm.
FRESH MEAT DELIVERED
Knibbs are recognised for the quality of their meat and the special skills of their butchers preparing cuts of meat that not only look good but taste good.
Their meat is sourced from local farmers where grass feeding and careful husbandry gives you the comfort that the animals have been cared for and respected throughout their lives.
Mainly the meat will have come from Croxton Park and is frequently an old fashioned rare breed. The animals mature slowly in order that they reach optimal flavour and tenderness, there is no automated process or 'quick fix' to produce good meat. For those who have not cooked rare breed meat before there are subtle differences, the first thing you will notice is slightly more fat on the meat. This is entirely natural and is high in Omega 3. The second thing is that to maximise tenderness and flavour cooking can take a few minutes longer than a modern cross bred joint.
HOW TO ORDER
The deadline for meat orders is 9 O'clock AM on the day before your delivery. You Can order meat by calling 01223 873300 or by sending us an e-mail.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A MEMBER OF OUR BOX SCHEME TO ORDER MEAT. However, there is a minimum order rquirement of £30.00 for non-box scheme members. Click here to find out which day we deliver in your area.
The minimum order requirement for box scheme members is just £10.00
All meat is delivered in cool packs that will keep your meat fresh for up to 12 hours.
