Limit on dried goods items due to Coronavirus

Due to significant demand for dried goods we have had to put in place a limit of 2 of each dried goods items. We hope this temporary restriction will give as many customers as possible the opportunity to get what they need with their box.

Local Preserves

We have preserves made by two great local makers:

Prospects Trust are one of our long-standing suppliers of organic produce. They are a charity farm, providing education and training to adults with learning disabilities. They've set up a great new commercial kitchen, where the co-workers can make jams from the fruit they grow on the farm.

Fen End Kitchen Country Kitchen is the brand under which long-standing veg box member, Heather Sturman, makes a great range of jams and chutneys in her home in Over. She produces small batches the old-fashioned way. Much of the fruit she uses for the jams come from gluts, which neighbours present her with.

None of these products are organic.

Fuego Habanero 160g

After spending months tasting and combining different types of chili peppers and spices, we've discovered that the habanero pepper gave the best results in keeping the flavours clean, crisp, fresh and alive.

Sweet apples and blackberries combined with red onions and balsamic vingear give this chutney a delightful tang. Great with goats cheese.

Fen End Awesome Ale Chutney (not organic) 292g

There are Ale chutneys, there are spicy pickles. This is the best you will taste. Made with Cornish hoppy IPA and a hint of chilli.

Punchy Piccalili 280g

The traditional british interpretation of indian pickles. Rich tangy and crunchy; this hand made chutney using fresh ingredients could not be more different from the soft vinegary pickle sold in supermarkets. Adds a sweet-zingy crunch with a spicy kick to anything you throw at it. One of our most popular preserves, and now awarded with a Great Taste Award for 2017.

Ideal with mature cheddar cheese, ploughman's lunch, cold meats and warm cheese-on-toast.

Roosevelt's Relish 280g

Our Great Taste Award 2016 winner. Tangy and crisp cucumber relish. Fresh yet mellow. Inspired by a traditional American Bread & Butter Pickle recipe from the 1940's.

This is such a versitile and moreish chutney. Goes amazingly with burgers, cheese on toast, cooked and cold meats, fish & chips. Oh yes, and cheese!
